We produce seasonal (with the high tunnels quasi-seasonal) vegetables. We are organic to a fault, but with good reasons: 1 - less expensive 2 - uses local materials 3- nurtures the soil, the farm and ultimately the people and our community, and our country and our world. We see no reason to strive for less.
We have a couple hundred chickens for egg production. We do a batch of butcher chickens each year; on shares, people share the costs and the butchering.
We graze some cows for manure and meat. We have warm Little Goose irrigation water at the turn of a valve delivered via the force of gravity controlled by the modern miracle of plastic pipe.
